Hi anf welcome to the forum. The answer to your question is simple: go wherever YOU want to go. The things you were going to do when Armageddon came: go do them now.

If anyone tells you where you should go, they're only wanting to take you where they want to go. Your road doesn't have to be lonely, plenty of people want to go whereever you want to go, some may follow, some may lead.

I'm glad you've opened your heart, things will only look up from here. The best thing is that you have an entire world to experience as if it were your first time. As long as you are willing to learn and experiment and embrace your newfound freedo, People will be attracted to you.

Millie2010 thank you so much. Your message has really touched me. I'm still trying to process everyone's messages. This whole thing has knocked the energy right out of me. I've been in bed all week completely exhausted. My head spinning with all the information I've read on JWfacts. You much be one strong women. You were far more rooted it all. I love the you decided to fill the hole with a whole. I'm going to really think on that. How I can fill the empty hole and not feel loneliness.

I first need to get my mind to stop spinning. Stop questioning everything. It's too much at once. I can't believe that I believed the literature. Thanks again.

The the time to study ancient religions religions and ancient history. Holy Spirit and baptism were Egyptian inventions. Read the book of the dead and you'll see all sorts of similarities. Take your time and digest things one at a time. Study science and archaeology you'll find most of what you have been told is not true. Most importantly go live life and embrace it!!

Did anyone sit there and think "how can this be. It all has to be true, because if all that I've been taught isn't true then life makes no sense. But none of it is true. The facts are there on paper. It was there all the time but I couldn't see it. ".

I keep thinking well I'll still believe this part. But then if parts aren't true then none of it can be true. Because you take one piece of the jigsaw away and the formula they apply doesn't fit.

How long does it take for the fear of Armageddon to go away. ? What will happen to me when I die?

Where do I go now to get baptized?

Any church that has a baptismal tank.

Is baptism even a requirement for serving God or was that just for the disciples and people of that time.

No, but it is a step of obedience, just as is partaking of the bread and wine in remembrance of Christ's suffering and death on our behalf. Baptism is symbolic of surrender of ones life to the Lord of all.

When any of you were baptized did you feel the Holy Spirit.

Not really. Feelings can come and go. But I knew I was doing God's will. So that felt good.

    Do you still pray ?

Yes, daily, for self and others.

    To whom do you pray?

Our fellowship is with the Father and the Son.

    So lost.

Excellent. Jesus came for the lost. Lost is therefore a hope-filled word.

    Advice please.

Jesus said, "Come unto me..." Ask and you shall receive; seek and you will find; knock and the (heaven's) door will be opened unto you." "If you then, being evil, can give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

It does take time to adjust Libby.

Learning to find meaning in real life every day is important.

Just be kind to yourself at the moment discovering the facts about cherished beliefs can be a bitter pill to swallow in the beginning but hang it there it gets better.

You don't need to go anywhere except to yourself by way of self-care and one day at a time

Never felt the HS, but I do still pray every day. I am not sure about praying to Jesus just yet but I do pray.

Not everyone on this site is atheist or agnostic, some are like me...just not looking for organized religion, and certainly not looking for the JW version of the 'truth'.

unsures's way seems like a good way

"That is the way I pray. I open up my heart, try to humble myself, and wait."

Libby, you said, "I keep thinking well I'll still believe this part. But then if parts aren't true then none of it can be true. Because you take one piece of the jigsaw away and the formula they apply doesn't fit."

Not so. You're still looking at things through the Watchtower's lens... THEIR jigsaw... THEIR formula...

I recommend that you read the New Testament without any WT aids and try to eliminate from your mind preconceptions about what it teaches.

    Let it speak for itself.

Use a non-NWT translation such as NIV, RSV, or ESV or even a parallel Bible with several translations side-by-side.

You could start with the 4 gospels and read about Jesus.

Or, if you want to start with an epistle, I'd recommend Romans or Galatians.

You won't understand everything (who does?), but you will understand some things.

    Take your time.

Focus on Jesus, not on organizations.

How long does it take for the fear of Armageddon to go away?

Perfect love casts out fear. Believe the gospel and your fear will be gone forever. Biblically speaking, He was lifted up on Calvary for you; God's judgment for your sins and mine, fell on Him. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; saved from the second death, because the second death has no power over the believer. For God sent His Son not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus said, " Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is past from death unto life." John 5: 24 Jesus is the Life; He who has the Son has life. Jesus is the Truth; He alone will set you free.
