Creatures that live in the oceans must feel that electro-chemical mix to be just perfect. we have also evaporation, a near perfect desalination process, condensation in clouds, rain, snow, which gives us non swimmers the pure stuff we crave. perhaps not specially designed, but that is how the laws that came through the big bang made it turn out, or in. so: Move to a river, the Nile, or the Severn, which has great "fresh"water surfing.-- Did not wt buy a "translation office" at it's banks?

I like how a loving, moral, intelligent designer could create a wasp that can take a cute little caterpillar, bury its larvae into it, and brainwash it into bashing its head around to protect the larvae from other parasites while they grow and eat their way out of it.
Or bacteria that eats Nylon.

99.99% ( give or take a % or two) of Every living thing on this planet lives by devouring some other living thing.
Is that by intelligent design ?

Creationist logic: The oceans are perfectly designed to fit the water that's in them. Same for rivers, they are carved out just where the water needs to go.

It is not the material, but the laws in our particular universe that are so shaping. Rivers move fastest where there is a restriction (unlike traffic, that stalls). The faster flow causes abrasion, and over time evens the flow. The same law, seen in the Venturi effect is also is one of the 4 reasons, why wings can lift us into the sky.
Love the laws that squeezed through the big bang.

Within the boundaries of ideological logic, this universe was not intelligently designed.

@ Finkelstein...
Forget the rest of the universe; just look at Earth itself.
Any assertions of "intelligent design" pretty much go out the window when you consider some of the more f**ked-up aspects of nature.

Since no one knows how we got here, why we are here, and how long we will be here, one persons guess is as good as another's. That how religion has flourished-by providing bullsh*t guesses and calling them answers!
just saying!
