Due to unforeseen occurrences, new light and difficulties with interpretation, flight #1975 has been lovingly delayed, indefinitely.
As agreed to, your tickets are non refundable but rest assured, your cash will be used to purchase a better plane for ourselves and to build an additional wing onto our already fabulous existing airport. All this of course is in preparation for the influx of new passengers we expect you to ensnare for us.

I came into the religion a few years after 1975 and never heard a word mentioned about this...It wasn’t until years later I learned some people quit their jobs, sold homes, etc. - and had to start all over again after the year ended and Paradise never materialized.
