Hi fast G who I really appreciate your Discovery and I will look into it as soon as I can

I tried hard, but can't find number 7:
"“This is also illustrated by what happened to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their inhabitants. Jude indicated that these cities were everlastingly destroyed. (Jude 7; compare 2Pe 2:6.) However, Jesus’ words recorded in Matthew 10:15 show that at least some of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah will receive a resurrection.” Insight on the Scriptures, V1, p 616"
I have the english library version and updated until today. Where can I find your qoute in the library CD?
My point here is: If a lurking JW can't find your qoute on his CD, he may think: "like the governing body says - they are lying apostates"

What is the date of your Library CD? I have two loaded and they both show exactly what my article shows. They are dated 2008 and 2013. Perhaps their later one, the one you have, has altered that quote within their article Destruction.

I just checked on JW dot org and see that, they have indeed, changed the article there. Does that surprise me? Not in the least. They've done that throughout their history. I will probably add a statement, in effect, to "obtain a Library CD no later than 2013".

As to what you found, FastJehu, I am forever grateful for you for exploring the details of what I wrote. I am not perfect in my writings nor do I pretend that I am.

    And to all, keep digging.

    Len

The article has now been changed as follows:

“What follows is a table of 8 WT publication quotationsi. With the exception of the first, you will be able to find each on the Watchtower Library CDii. If you don't have that CD, I suggest that you get one dated 2013 or earlier because WT’s reputation of altering their older writings1 precedes them.”

    1Without notice.

I have the 2016 version from here: https://avoidjw.org/watchtower-library/

And then all the automatic updates done.

It's hard to believe, that WT is changing parts of such an old publication. But they have done it.

In my experience, no JW will install an "old" 2013 library CD to verify your statement - for them it's a old version and they will not have the new stuff available. Propably they didn't keep the old CDs either.

    Suggestion:

Maybe you write number 7 with both versions into the table - showing, that the WT ist trying to hide, what they wrote in the past. So a noble JW can look into the hardbound "Insight on the Sriptures" AND on his actual library CD and see, that the WT is dishonest.

I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. A major Watchtower blunder, one within the last 3 years or so. I can't pin it down, but it doesn't really matter when.

I discovered it after I downloaded from JW dot org the latest WT Lib 2017 file. It's an ISO file and on Windows 10 it's an easy matter to install it.

When I compared certain quotations on this essay I was blown away by position 10 (refer to essay). There, WT nullified position 9 in which they finally had joined mainstream Christianity and where they conceded that "rather than be dogmatic", they would wait on Jehovah.

The blunder? In this download of the ISO several days ago, it became clear that they had back-edited Insight on the Scriptures, a 1988 hard bound research book. There, you will see what they did in position 10. There, once again, Sodomites will not get a resurrection.

We have no way of knowing but I believe it's simply a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. A simple blunder.

By the way, the original link on page 1 of this post should still work. What follows is a snippet of a part of page 2.

Even in the old days, when I was young-er, things would change faster in print then the time it took for the translations, like on pair's porneia. Also the bound volumes would have different texts than the original copies. copious corrections. I bet, if the bible was really inspiredly written, proof read by "god", [s] he would like to have the chance too to go over it, and erase and past in corrections, starting from 1:1.

WELL DONE. You have to check the library with every update. The governing body keeps the apostates busy

Thanks Fat Freek for sharing this. Reminds me of Orwell's 1984.
