  People in the UK who apply for a Blue Badge (parking permit for disabled people) on the government web site, are asked to select one of three options regarding their gender:

  1. Male

  2. Female

  3. Self Identifying

  Perhaps this news story about two female transexuals who both changed into males and then changed back into females will get more people to reassess the "Emperor's new clothes" mentality regarding genuine gender.

  If someone demands the right to "self-identify" as a hamster, fine, let them call themselves whatever they want to, but don't vilify/criminalise me by taking away my right to say that a man is a man and a hamster is a hamster!

  I attended a mandatory training at work regarding the gender identification issue. A person who may appear male might actually identify as female and vice versa. We were taught the proper manner in which to introduce ourselves, where one includes after ones name their pronoun. As in " hello, my name is Phoebe, my pronoun is he" thereafter you refer to Phoebe as he, him, etc. Despite the fact that Phoebe appears to be female.

  I've said it before and I'll say it again: this lunacy is a free speech issue.

  I have no problem with adults identifying with whatever gender they wish (e.g. Bruce Jenner can ID as a woman and call himself Caitlyn).

  Just don't force others to use the preferred pronouns (e.g. I don't have to see Jenner as a woman; nor do I have to use she, her, etc.).

  ^^^ And this is the issue: activists are trying to force everyone else to go along with their beliefs, on pain of arrest. Surely this is some kind of, what, fascism? 'Trans-Aristocracy'?

  These people are attempting to make us accept them for how they believe they are when they cannot accept themselves for what how they were born (really are).

  It's all about power and control - giving the ability for the mentally ill to bully others and jerk them around.

  Nothing todo with respect, 'cause as soon as someone says "my pronouns are ..." I know they are a Grade A utter-twat and that's all I need to know to call them a "lying dog faced pony soldier" or whatever the kids are saying these days.

  I'm going to get in trouble at the next one of those conferences I have to sit through (or maybe my next conversation with my children). I'm going to say

  "Hi, my name is Jeff T. I identify as Jeff T. You may call me Jeff T. There is no pronoun for Jeff T."
