Yeah, I get what you guys are saying about the cost of living in Croatia. But that goes for the cost of wages too.

Once the donations dry up and he can't benefit from the conversion of currency, how is he going to find a job that will pay enough to prop up his lifestyle?

He won't get that from being a shelf stacker for a grocery store in Croatia, or a window cleaner, or a road sweeper.

He can probably get more value in an unemployment benefit in the UK than he could from a full time wage over there.

    It's not that simple.

To be eligible for Jobseeker's Allowance (unemployment benefit) he would need to show he had paid sufficient National Insurance contributions in the last 3 years (which he won't have done, as he was outside the UK), otherwise he is only eligible for Universal Credit (a benefit paid to people who have no other income, or an income so low that they would otherwise fall below subsistence level).

For that, you get at most about £400 per month as a single person (and possibly additional Housing Benefit to help with rent). That is for everything - food, bills and any shortfall of HB (which doesn't necessarily cover all your rent). If he has savings above the equivalent of £16,000 at the time he claims he would not be eligible, and anything below that, then stepped deductions would be made from the benefit given to him (down to a maximum allowance of £6,000), so it would be even less.

Assuming he does not have Dijana or the kids with him, as a single male in his 40s with no disabilities, his options for benefits and social support are not great.

He would also have to show evidence he is actively seeking work. He's too lazy for that, and won't want to be put under obligation to the authorities.

So no, for that and the reasons I stated earlier, I seriously doubt he would move back to live permanently in the UK.

Here's the information from the UK government website about unemployment benefit and universal credit:

    Jobseeker’s Allowance Eligibility

    • worked as an employee
    • paid Class 1 National Insurance contributions, usually in the last 2 to 3 years (National Insurance credits can also count)

You will not be eligible if you were self-employed and only paid Class 2 National Insurance contributions, unless you were working as a share fisherman or a volunteer development worker.

    You’ll also need to:

    • be 18 or over (there are some exceptions if you’re 16 or 17 - contact Jobcentre Plus for advice)
    • be under the State Pension age
    • not be in full-time education
    • be available for work
    • not be working at the moment, or be working less than 16 hours per week on average
    • not have an illness or disability which stops you from working
    • live in England, Scotland or Wales

    Universal Credit Eligibility

You may be able to get Universal Credit if you’re on a low income or need help with your living costs. You could be:

    • out of work
    • working (including self-employed or part time)
    • unable to work, for example because of a health condition

    To claim you must:

    • live in the UK
    • be aged 18 or over (there are some exceptions if you’re 16 to 17)
    • be under State Pension age
    • have £16,000 or less in money, savings and investments

Do we really think he won't stoop so low as to claim to be incapacitated and unable to work...

He pretended to be suicidal to distract from the purchasing of women for his sexual gratification.

All it takes is a GP appointment or two with the crying face on and he's too depressed to be a jobseeker...

I don't believe in inspired visions. However, I've had a ... vision. I saw Lloyd boy standing in a doorway. His eyes were wide and tear filled. Then, for no accountable reason, he banged his head on the wall, over and over, until he bled. All the while he mumbled, "my money! my money! oh my money! I'll have no money to pay Gloria, Sandra, or even 80 year old Carol. Oh what will I do?"

If he did move back to the UK because his income dried up he will find it much harder than he may think. The UK is running out of money due to the financial crisis and benefits are not what they used to be. They are not keeping up with very high inflation which means they are not enough to live on.

If you don’t want to work then you live in a really shitty place and can only afford the cheapest lowest quality food like substances.

More and more people are choosing to live in cars than the mouldy horrible cheap housing available for those not willing to work.

I go on the ministry on those kind of jobless people and ten mins is enough for me I already feel sorry for myself, then off to Costa for our usual and an hour chatting.

His options are seriously limited, if he adamantly refuses to work hard for living. At the end of the day he will have to bite the bullet and get a job just like everyone else

In the UK he was a nobody. His “I’m Lloyd Evans from Manchester” schtick doesn’t work there. The only way he’s returning to the UK permanently is if he gives up and goes back to being that nobody who goes unnoticed.

He’d have to fall a long way to just give up, and I don’t quite see him falling that far in the near future.

And what British gal is going to date him? He’s better off in the former Yugoslavia waving his passport and having some local tart thinking he’s her ticket to a new and exciting life in London. (Don’t worry, she’ll change her mind quickly when/if she sees him naked)

Longer term it gets more complicated for him as he’s just a middle aged guy who was an elder for one year 20 years ago.

The more immediate problem for him is that he runs his business like a Nigerian prince. Chock full of grandiose promises, but little on details or tangibles. He’ll tell you who shot JFK if it means he gets closer to your money. Sooner or later people realise they’ve been sold a bill of goods, or just tire of the whole scene and transition out of the community.

He’s like the bullshit 70’s rock promoter who sells tickets to a Beatles reunion, only to disappoint people when they find out it’s a 15 minute sit-down with Ringo and Yoko. That’s why he took the Patreon goals down. The primary reason he can’t make a documentary right now is due to little interest and likely writer’s block in finding something new to say about JWs for a video over an hour long.

There’s a few burn out JW “activists” out there. I could name names but I won’t. That’s where I see Lloyd heading. He’ll attract a smaller cult following of old time loyalists and other random dolts. You’ll see his content taper off & he’ll waste valuable time on his new book that no one will read.

I agree, he won’t give up until there isn’t enough patreon money to feed himself with. 👍
