Has anyone got a screen grab of the old wording?
I don't, but I compared his current wording against an archive from 2021. The passage you are referring to is unchanged. But there are a couple changes I noticed - removal of any mention of the TTATT documentary. Here's the 2021 version:
In the early days, I did this through blog articles on JWsurvey.org, which I founded in 2011. Then, in 2013, I started vlogging on YouTube. I have also published an 800-page book, "The Reluctant Apostate," and a follow-up titled "How to Escape From Jehovah's Witnesses." In addition, I am currently involved in producing a documentary feature film about Jehovah's Witnesses titled "The Truth About the Truth."
The last sentence has been deleted.
Also, he removes reference to him being a husband and father. Here's the 2021 version:
Making all of these resources available has been, and continues to be, an enormous drain on my time and energy. As a husband and father, my work can be a major distraction, but having personally met people who claim to have benefited (sometimes dramatically) from my books and videos, I consider the personal sacrifice to be worthwhile
Here's what it currently says:
Making these resources available has been, and continues to be, an enormous drain on my time and energy, but having personally met people who claim to have benefited (sometimes dramatically) from my books and videos, I consider the personal sacrifice to be worthwhile.
I understand about removing the "husband" part, but shouldn't the "father" part still be relevant? He also removed reference to it being a "distraction". I reckon it shows subconsciously the true extent of how disconnected he really is from his children's lives now that he lives over an hour away. All the pics he posts of his children are just propaganda gleaned from the few hours he does see them.
You have to wonder why he consciously removed that entire passage.
