Hi Thomas , welcome . This is a lively place and you will learn a lot . As , l think it was Lisa Rose ( my memory is hopeless , l only just read this post ) already said your Mom is genuinely doing what she believes is the right thing . She loves you and your sisters and wants to protect you from all us worldly folk ! Hang on in there and concentrate on your education so that you can get whatever job / career you want .

Hi Thomas. Well done waking up so young, I wish I had. Get busy planning to be financially independent as soon as you can. You are eighteen in three years. I know it seems a long way off but you need to be able to stand on your own two feet if you mother doesn't wake up. Start making friends at school so you have a support circle. Good to have you here and looking forward to your posts. -

Welcome. Keep your honesty Thomas, don't let anyone browbeat you. I am kinda stuck but mentally out and am much, much older than you. As a result I have seen people grow up and leave the local cong. From a purely selfish point of view it makes me sad because they are often good people and I personally miss them.
It also makes me rejoice because I see them making their way free from the hypocrisy of the cult.
So, good luck Thomas stick by what you have learned and fly!

WE are here as a support to you my friend. Hang in there - I know it's tough. I was born and raised in the JW's from birth too- finally got out 13 years ago at age 44. Be excited that you'll be able to exit at age 18 . You'll have your whole life ahead of you ! Take care
