Are you ever surprised at who is attracted to whom here?

I know you are out there. You lurkers. The ones who read this board just to observe everything that's going on. Never say a word, except on very rare occasions.

What are the percentages? Only about 5 percent on a board actually post? The rest just lurk. And watch. And make mental notes.

Now at this point, I gotta ask "WHY?" But a friend explained her take on it. She just likes to get info on persons. She stated she never plans on using what she learns. She just likes to know. Go figure.

Of course, if you lurk, you are not likely to come out of lurkdom just to answer this.

But for the rest of us, that 5 (?) percent who feel obliged to jump into the fray,

Are you ever surprised at who is attracted to whom? Not in a sexual way. I mean in an intellectual or emotional way.

There are some here one would be hard pressed not to be attracted to. The first to spring to mind are Big Tex and Cruzanheart. Just lovely people. (There are many more, please don't be offended.)

But who do you think are the Mutt and Jeffs of this board? The ones you see teaming up and think, "I'd have never thought."

I'm not sure I understand your question but I would like to add something to your thread. Those lurkers that THINK they are ONLY lurking, are decieving themselves. They are getting all the "poison" into their brains that the Watchtower warns against. Then one day, SOMETHING will click. And when it does, WATCH OUT!!!........So keep lurking. It IS getting through to you, whether you believe it or not.

Well, I heard a rumour about Terry and Simon.

Hey Rosie ( can I call you Rosie just once?)

I was a lurker here for 6 months before I had the guts to post. I was afraid and I had Francois post things for me that he willingly did. Many WANT to post here and say things but their conscience will not allow it or they are simply afraid to post......mine was the latter. It's like someone handing you a microphone in front of an audience and telling you to say something.......kinda scary

    StinkyPantz and teejay.

    StinkyPantz and Bendrr (Mike).

    StinkyPantz and Farkel.

    StinkyPantz and... uh... nevermind...

Well, to clarify....some posters here just click. Despite obvious differences. Okay, someone who has never called someone an "idiot" in her life thinking Farkel is the greatest poster here. (No offense to Farkel.)

In the "if you could date anyone" thread, Farkel chose Celia. That came out of left field, for me at least. Not that Celia isn't a doll (she is) but I just didn't see that one.

    Maybe it's just me.

I love Hamas. He has very strong views, and he expresses them very passionately. But succintly. I just love his style of writing. I can't say I agree with everything he writes, but I do love him.

Maybe it's precisely because he can comment, "Just give the the chance" (regarding stealing 1 mil from the WTS) with absolutely no apparent guilt whatsoever that I find him so appealing. His "screw 'em" attitude ...that's how I often feel about things, until the nice Catholic girl takes over.

I would say "opposites atract", but then, I don't suspect Hamas and I are as opposite as may seem.

Okay, does that clarify a little?

    Oh!... I forgot one...

Berylblue and Hamas. Never would-a thunk it.

This goes to prove my point. I had NO idea that Stinky and Farkel were kindred spirits.

    Or are you joking?

    Rosemarie,

You and I were thinking the same thing at the same time. You know what they say about great minds, right?

Not joking. There's something there. A neurosis of some sort to be sure, but isn't that a good definition of "love"?
