My Dad and I would work on different "pioneers" vehicles in our kingdumb hell. And to nuts and bolts they where real "hoopties" anytime ready for the crusher. Both my dad and I would work with our skills to keep their cars running since they don't have a real job to get a real working car. It was very frustrating! One pioneer who didn't want to work had a car with bad piston rings. She didn't like our advice on repair or replace on such on old vehicle. And these people always wanted top mechanical work for cheap.
The Craziness of JW's.

I don't know, I don't regret any of the things I did as JW to help out other needy JWs. Admittedly these days I'm rather skeptical of most charities.

that entitlement harks back to the time when magazines "at the counter" where 1 cent for pioneers, and free for "specials" if wt can be so generous----

We didn't mind helping people in need. Don't get me wrong. But what gets my goat is the sense that they are a "Pioneer" and they deserve a break in price for service provided. As if my time and skill have little value.

I helped out pioneers who would ask for my money out of one side of their mouth while saying I was spirituality weak out of the other side. Talk about craziness. I just don’t help anymore. Time to look after me. Get a real job or find some other sucker to mooch off of.

Hoser- yeah, I experienced that too. Was told that I should spend more time on Kingdumb interest instead of running a business because I'm materialistic!?! But when their hooptie ride breaks down they want it fixed right away and on the cheap. Like working on cars is flipping burgers? -
nowwhat?
Tell them to pray more and Jehovah will provide!😉

Ooh yeah, pray to the invisible sky Daddy to keep their car running till the next week. Just add more oil! It will run fine.

That's true overrated. Most or all of the people I helped out were appreciative and I wouldn't feel bad helping them out even now. I remember getting called arrogant because I said I could use my car in field service but I needed gas money because I was broke. The best part is the man that said it never offered to use his car.

MYNAMEISLAME and OVERRATED:
I would never presume to tell somebody else what they should do.
However, as somebody who was criticized, shunned and not invited to special gatherings because I worked full time, I would never give anything to these JWs. Just think: I wouldn’t be Retired if I listened to these people who said I was not ‘spiritual’ and should be in full time service as a ‘pioneer’. Would these people be supporting me today? Nah, I don’t think so.
I remember it well about JWs who never wanted to work but expected things for free or at a discount back in the day...Well, if they are in a predicament TODAY, let them track down their so-called spiritual friends for charity and handouts!
