I am not a big musical fan, but I will throw another vote in for Seven Brides for Seven Brothers... And now I want to watch it again, it's been a while.
schnell that is one of my all time favourites along with west side story ,two different eras that are clsssic in their own right.
Well, I don't know if this film counts as a musical but it has lots of music in it: The Jungle Book (1967).
It's a brilliant cartoony, music-ish film.
PS - I guess you've worked out that I'm not a big musical fan!

There are many musicals with memorable tunes--of those listed, West Side Story
impressed me the most. From that same time period, I like A Hard Day's Night a
lot, too. (Besides tunes being good, Van Johnson is funny in Brigadoon, too.)
