Some context on Resolute's picture of George Soros.

If you think that the above article is incorrect, can you please link to the BILD article in which those words were printed?

Whether your view on Soros is positive or negative, we must all do our best to ensure that disinformation is not spread. I'm sure that all on this forum can appreciate the power that disinformation has.

I think it would interesting to compare the number of black men shot by police to the number of black men shot by other black men.

I think we can make an educated guess as to how those two data sets would look ...

Well the number of unarmed black men killed by police last year was 9. Some accounts put the number at 14. Let's just say it's 14.... You can easily get that number in a weekend in a major US city, so it's not even a comparison.

The reality is that our society needs to be able to absorb that number. That number will NEVER be zero. It can't be. There are 50 million interaction between police and civilians a years. A small percentage will go very bad and that's just part of normal chaos. We absorb a small number of deaths on everything else that can go wrong, and we need to do the same here.

The media is making this impossible. Imagine for example that Anderson Cooper got on TV every night and reported names and numbers of people that are killed each day due to screw ups by doctors (100,000 + annually). Imagine that, names, personal stories, picture of the doctor that messed up, total count of people dead up to that point. It would be declared a national emergency, there would protests, hospitals burned, doctor hunted down, etc.

The media sets the temperature of the country and they are doing a terrible thing here.

There are way too few black men being shot.

NOTE: There's nuance to this that many will not be able to comprehend because they see black-people as identical cookie-cutter replicas instead of individuals, such is the power and danger of group identity politics.

How about: There would be fewer black people killed if more black people were shot.

    Wha ... ?

Because a black criminal and a black victim are different people. Why should anyone care about the former but not the latter? I especially don't understand why black people seem to pick that option every single time.

Why don't white people care when some white criminal is shot? Because why should we? They have nothing to-do with us. We're supposed to feel some "kinship" because of their color? There are simply many more important things that make someone one of your "group" that you identify with than their color - their behavior and values for instance.

Black people appear to have been conditioned to see color as the most important and pretty much the only characteristic to consider. There's undoubtedly a past historical component to this, but it's being perpetuated with marxist-controlled state education (failing them) and media propaganda operating in hand with a political party (controlling them, telling them what to think and believe). Ironically, many wealthy and successful black people promote it too - but then if there's one thing they seem to do without fail, it's sell their own down the river for profit.

It's a good point, and and that goes for basically every other minority as well. If anything, most groups will probably congratulate the police under their breath, even if it's a case where a criminal was killed in dubious circumstances.

And why not? Why should anybody in their right mind be rooting for criminals and people who don't seem deserving of living amongst us? Even if a thug, robber, sexual predator, drug dealer or other scum get's killed by the police due to malpractice, you are now suddenly safer in your community.

The mentality displayed by many in the black community is backwards. It promotes insecurity, it reinforces stereotypes, and it damages their reputation.

Simon, you mention the danger of group identity politics.

Almost certainly because of growing up as a jw, I totally agree with you. Group identity is dangerous. Even if someone naturally identifies with one group more than another, the challenge is to not allow that group to dictate your thoughts, feelings and particularly your treatment of others.

During the blm protests, so many times, self righteous protesters have bullied and intimidated others, forgetting all about equality and freedom of speech.

Redvip, yep, everyone knows there are consequences for actions and choices. If a white scumbag, drug affected, violent offender got injured or worse while being arrested or incarcerated, I doubt there will too many tears shed by any other person, white or black, let alone violent protests and destruction of other people's property.

Yes, it's sad and regrettable that persons life screwed up but like you said, that's one less loose cannon in the world.

And no one seems to notice that these people are out, walking about, committing more crimes, despite having been arrested umpteen times.

Isn't the narrative supposed to be that they are arrested and locked up just for "being black"? Seems like the reality is they can commit crime after crime after crime and still not be locked away.

A cynic would claim that liberal-run courts systems want black offenders victimizing black neighbourhoods, 'cause that keeps people voting for the ones selling the "cure" and pointing the finger at whitey.
