Riots one reason to own an AR15 and several 30 round or 100 round mags.

Even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while. NBC a left wing rag actually did some fact checking on guns. The big flaw I see is that AK is not shooting full auto but he is bump firing it. No for those in Lundumb you don't need a stock to bump fire. Also if you are selling a gun as a private seller you can not sell out of state lines and not all states allow a person to sell a gun without a BGC. To send a gun out of state or sell a gun out of state you have to go though an FFL. This does not apply to antique guns. Guns that are made before 1898. This includes modern reproduction black powder guns.

We also have the right to manufacture our own gun in many states. One can buy an AR AK frame and build or finish an 80 percent. So to with a Glock or 1911. The Poly80 Glock pistol I built took me in my shop about an hour. Works like my 19 or 26. Never built an AK but built several AR15s. No serial no. The down side is once built I can not sell it unless I serial no it and register it with ATF. And I can not build them for the express purpose to sell. But I am not selling. I was building ARs since the 80s. I have always like the AK but it has some draw backs. the 7.62x39 round is great but for every 100 rounds in weight I can have 300 in 5.56. The AK imo is also a much more robust gun. You can drag the dang thing behind a truck and pull it through a mud bog and it will fire. The 5.56 will blow through most body armor. But so will most any rifle round. I also love how dumb people are on the AR 5.56 being so deadly. No one hunts medium game with the 223. Its just not going to work. If you want to drop it where you shot it, then 7mm Rem mag, 300 win mag, 3006, 308 ect will all do the job. a 3006 will blow a hole the size of a pumpkin in an animal. Hit them in the shoulder and they lost the shoulder. A 223/5.56 not so much.

I really do wish you and people from elsewhere stop bashing the US!

I have heard every sort of remark over the years from Europeans or others..from condescending remarks about ‘class’ in addition to the current situation. Let’s not forget for one minute that MILLIONS of people in Europe have died because of war, genocide and violence just inside the last century!..Now Europe is a toilet because they have opened the floodgates to immigrants and has terrorism and every social problem imaginable!

The left-leaning rulers couldn’t care less if their own natural law abiding citizens are killed in violence and social unrest caused by these immigrants. The same leftist attitude prevails in the US where ball-less politicians allow criminals of every sort to do what they want.

This situation with Floyd has allowed the leftist elements in the country to jump in the fray and cause havoc. Even though there are many engaging in ‘peaceful’ protests (because Nobody should die in police custody- even a no-good criminal) ..these other people have jumped on the bandwagon and making this about another agenda. Meanwhile, they are responsible as far as I am concerned, for inciting ignorant people to violence, looting and destruction, vandalism of every sort even in cemeteries..Now drivers have to worry about bricks being thrown from an overpass onto vehicles. Just mindless mayhem. And this is supposedly about ‘justice’ for one guy??

As far as guns are concerned: guns do scare me and I don’t like violence. However, what the hell are people supposed to do if the police stand down and don’t protect them?? Do you actually expect them to lay down and die?

I lived through the riots over Rodney King in '92. The current riots were nothing in comparison. Many people died in '92 and homes were being invaded because the police were overwhelmed.

I learned a lot at a fairly young age. One of them was to embrace personal protection. The Mossberg, sized just for me, hangs above my front door. It may not blow the biggest hole in the door, but it will do.

Nice balanced comment girl next door.

Guns are tools needed for jobs. The left seems hyper sensitive to the idea of guns at all, the right wingers sometimes come across as over balanced in their zeal for them.

I don’t mind a gun conversation, because I appreciate them for what they are, same way I’d enjoy talking about Husqvarna chainsaws. It’s a tool for a specific job, and most people appreciate the feel and precision of quality instruments.

If rioting becomes a genuine reason to own several guns with high capacity ammo, the breakdown in society would be so significant at that point that guns and ammo would be on a massive list of ones problems.

It is interesting subject matter to explore, I sometimes get the feeling that a few people in the USA are craving a dystopian future with gun vigilantes ruling the landscape, I’m not talking about the Clintons either

I hear you. There are things no one needs to post. I am a firm believe in self protection. The old saying no one ever rapped a 38 is true
