I don't think the Watchtower would appreciate this story making the rounds. Giving praise and attention to a worldly organization is not what they encourage. The GB would want it directed towards them for providing these new arrangements.
millie2010 : Also, how did the "brother" who works for zoom get her email address? Did the CEO forward her personal info to all 2000 employees?
In the account being circulated here it says :
A few minutes later, she received another email. This was from a Brother who works at zoom, who had been hired when the company first started up. He said the CEO had forwarded her emails to all 2000 US Employees!!!
Earnest - that the exact email that my father got. Identical, word for word. Btw I don’t live in the USA.
I’m just scared this is going to make my father look a foolish.
More foolish than believing regular Watchtower cult nonsense?
Anyway, this is very, very unlikely to happened as described.
And if it happened, the sister is a bit silly. Why translate a letter to Chinese-American person into Spanish? Or perhaps she saw the CEO name (E. Yuan) and thought "oh Juan sounds Spanish. This billion dollar company CEO probably can't read English then"?
I think I`m pretty safe in not believing anything the WT /JW religion says about anything.Theocratic Warfare anybody ?
Does such recognition by the CEO of Zoom therefore make jw's officially the "Zoom and Doom" religion of the 21st century?
just saying!
she thanked him for keeping the basic 40minute plan free and how this was so different than other corporate greed that is seen in the world today.
That's the model many companies use - nothing to do with "corporate greed.". Basic product for free - trade up for enhanced paid for version.
Maybe it's because Watchtower just paid for 65,000 subscriptions for congregations:

I guessed at least 60,000, not far off!
They are probably one of Zoom’s biggest customers.
Sometimes people make flippant comments about JWs being a small, insignificant religion. I don’t think that’s accurate. They are a significant minority religion in many countries, and have an impressive global spread. There are only a handful of other worldwide churches that match them in terms of number of congregations.
