Whoa Scully I knew you know it happens to boys - my comment was that society prefers not to think of it - not you hon
I always took my kids in with me. Even if you are doing something that you would normally do privately I believe even kids know there are circumstances when normal goes out the window. It is very possible to be discrete when using the washroom. I think I would prefer the man sitting in the stall rather than having her stand at the urinal.
Depending on the age of the child she (or he) may be used to "daddy" helping them on the toilet if they aren't tall enough to reach yet. Or they may remember daddy helping them. For a lot of little kids help and company in the bathroom is normal behavior. Little kids think this is normal. Heck one of the reasons they have the family washrooms is so that if dad is out with the kids he has a place to change diapers etc if needed.
stepping off my soapbox --- for now lol
