E-man, I use www.hotwire.com or www.expedia.com for the cheapest car rental. Don't get me going about renting cars here in the USA after the experience we had in July getting to your place!!! Thrifty is another cheap rental company. But like I said, I check out those 2 sites first.

Remember they are "older" and prefer a quiet peaceful time.

Ok, the deal so far with Motels,

Andy's motel 850-230-8999 Sleeps 4 adults with kitchenette. beachside $65/night; poolside $55/night. www.yp.bellsouth.com/andysmotel This is a beachside motel. Those rates are for two nights. Their deal is you stay 2 nights at $75 a night and get the third night free. If you don't stay 3 nights, they will reduce the fee to the above. Got it???!!! So if you want to stay 3, the 3rd night is free @ $75 a night.

Sunset Motel 850-234-7370 has rooms across the beach for sleeps 2, kingsize bed $45/night; sleeps 4, 2 queen beds $50/night; 2 room suite $60/night.

I told them people would identify themselves as FREEDOMFEST to get the discount rate. Did you see that, identify you are here for the FREEDOMFEST to get the discount.

I'll keep bringing this up for all to see.

Sounds like it's going to be a really momentous occasion and it will be great seeing even more faces of names that we have never met. Sorry to hear about the job Big Tex but it will be great to see you and the family if you can make it.

We normally get our car rental from Avis - they will have a place right at the airport right outside the arrivals and you take them back to right outside departures ... very handy. You can book on line and the rates are pretty good - just watch our for all the extra add-on insurance they try to sell you which can really bump up the rates. Best part is ... petrol is nearly as cheap as water !!

We'll be in and around the same area so we may bump into each other - I'll send you our itinary in case you fancy meeting up for Sea World or something.

Note to self: pick up piece of old rock on way to airport and pas it off to Amazing as 'part of castle' . Actually, we're right next to Conway Castle as I type so I could go and break a piece of that off ! It will be great to meet you Jim, I hope you can make it.

We get into Orlando at midnight their time, I'll probably book a car for the following day once we''ve had some sleep. It might be worth us staying right by the airport and picking up a car from Avis the next morning, then I can return it just before we leave.

Eman, we always use Budget Rent a Car. They are reasonable and a major rental agency, and lots cheaper than Avis or Hertz.

I agree with Joy about Ray and Cynthia. I doubt they would be interested. I don't think they are into the "apostacy" get together idea. In fact, they are probably turned off by it.

I just thought of something. Since the subject of beer has been brought up, I've got an idea. I'll start a batch of my homebrew next month and it will be ready in time for the fest and I'll bring it.

Y'all help me talk Bridget (stinkypantz) into coming. I talked to her earlier and she's trying to think of every conceivable reason not to go. I've got her bus ticket covered and can help out with the hotel room. So come on folks, let's get my sweetie there too!

Let me know about the hotel options. I'll probably drive down that Friday and leave the following Monday.
