Cofty, I pose a question to you. What exactly is the one hope of Christians ? Let's see if you are making sense. I want a direct answer

LoveunityhateExams , You said the the one hope is heavenly, how do you now explain Revelation 21:3,4 that says " Humans " of flesh and blood will dwell forever without dying ?

To the best of my knowledge, what is born of spirit is Spirit. Never humans. So how come humans will also live forever in their habitat ?

    Excellent article Cofty. Thank you.

True, there is no such thing as a Christian who is not born again or anointed. And all of Matthew 5 (Beatitudes) apply to the anointed.

However, I don't see the New Testament ruling out a hope for the unrighteous post resurrection. It seems to me that the nations will still exist in an earthly setting being ruled with a rod of iron during the millennium period.

The only ones I don't see a scriptural hope for are those who have sinned against the Holy Spirit.

Allowing old testament symbolism, the new heavens and earth sounds so much like the current situation with saints and sinners that some have concluded we have been in them since AD 70.

To divide people into those with a heavenly hope and those with an earthly one is not a Biblical concept. “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell” (2 Pet.3:13)

Born again christians, born again heavens, born again earth. All a new creation.

What did the physical heavens and earth do wrong to require them being born again?

The life span reduction can explain that.

"It may also with the strictest propriety be said, that the irrational creation was subjected to vanity, not willingly, but by the authority of God. It shared in the penalty of the fall — "Cursed is the earth for thy sake." Genesis 3:17. And it is said still to suffer for the sins of its inhabitants: "Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth," Isaiah 24:6; "How long, shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein?" Jeremiah 12:4. "

Gotta love the word of god.... you can cherry pick scriptures to prove just about anything you want and they all seem to make sense if you want them to badly enough

    And on it goes....

The gospel message is NOT about paradise earth or utopia in heaven.

It is about forgiveness and reconciliation with God now in the present life. The materialistic gospel of the watchtower is alien to the gospel.

The NT looks forward to a time when heaven and earth will be one. Paul claimed to be agnostic about the nature of the resurrected body but the heaven/earth dichotomy is not biblical.

What really throws a monkey wrench into JW theology is when you ask them to compare Eph 4:4 & Rev 19:1

To the best of my knowledge, what is born of spirit is Spirit. Never humans - Jesus was a first century human being who allegedly went to heaven. You're gonna have to do better than that, fella.

how do you now explain Revelation 21:3,4 that says " Humans " of flesh and blood will dwell forever without dying ? - this doesn't explicitly state that humans will live forever on planet earth. If you maintain otherwise, it is up to you to show us your working out.

I'm not going to do your research for you.
