I went to an assembly once, wearing thigh high stockings with a garter belt........................and no panties (and a dress, of course). I had the strangest grin on my face for about 7 or 8 hours.

I got trashed one saturday night of the assembly at a club, wasted on drinks and smoked a heap of cigarettes. I was still drunk on the Sunday and threw up in the assembly toilets.
Worst thing I did was introduce the organization to my best friend. He is still a die hard witness to this day.
Failing to give my sister some needed support when she came home at the age of 17 and told me she was pregnant. Failing to attend her hastily arranged wedding, Failure to support her before her JC appointment.
Happiness at how close we are now, and can sit and chat for hours.

I never took any drugs in my life, even less at the KH, and could spend years without drinking one drop of alcohol. I never went to the hall intoxicated. I don't recall seeing anyone high or drunk at the hall, but I guess that some can hide it quite well.
I brought a Bible student to the meeting who was a recovering alcoholic/drug addict (15 years sobriety). He promptly pointed out 3 people under the influence of alcohol and 2 drugs. Two of the alcohol users were elders.
In one congregation, the PO was stopped by the police and ticketed for OWI only 1 block from the KH. No one might have noticed but he was the speaker that morning and he was late.

I did mean well....
As an active witness, I wore a pair of pink leg warmers with shiny black patent leather high heel shoes. Still cringe when I think about it.
