A local Elder had the part this week on the "Good News" brochure. He said: "If the householder has any questions, direct them to JW.ORG, don't say, just look up Jehovah's Witnesses on the internet(an older sister said this at the door), if you do they will be directed to a site visited by Apostates and weak Witnesses!" "This mistake, would cause the householder to never accept Bible Truth".

I thought to myself, wow, I'm sure some listening to this part, will get curious now(many in the Hall are just being exposed to the internet, and practicing with their new Tablets) and do, just what they were told not to do.

Yes, and it is a problem for them in this age of "tablet" witnessing. I have wondered how many people were curious after having the JWs at the door but ended up at this site instead.

"This mistake, would cause the householder to never accept Bible Truth".

This summarises how weak their teachings are. Reasonable, sincere householders would seek to hear both the JWs and those who oppose them. If JWs had indisputable facts, than, its be easy to debunk the evil opposers. Unfortunately, facts are stacking up per the minute against them.

    JAMES JACK:

The fact that he said the mistake of those finding this site is "they will never accept bible truth..", means the religion is desperate to keep people from finding out all the scandals and hidden history of the Witness religion.

Also, what he means is Witness truth not bible truth. There is a difference.

Topic lead a little inaccurate, he mentioned "apostate" websites in general but did not seem to mention JWN specifically.

I'm sure many jws have already searched by Jehovah's witnesses and found the real truth. A inactive jw friend of mine has discovered youtubes of ex-jws and he says it is addictive----after 50 years as a jw, he has found like minded people about the WTS.

Nothing really new. That' just the technology version of the same thing that they do with any source of information. They say/do the exact same thing with college education, libraries, magazines, news, any communication media. The Internet is no different.

It is silly to think that they can prevent the r&f from doing google searches of their own religion. It sounds like the speaker did his own search. Otherwise, how would he know?

I did a google search and didn't find this specific site until page 3. A lot of it is news on what is going on in Russia. First thing is from jw.org - the FAQ on what JWs believe. How can we get this page to the top of results....

Same reasoning as a timeshare presentation by the resort. Several years ago, we went to one of these to get a discount on an excursion and when the sales person left us alone, I googled the resort and found so many people trying to sell theirs at pennies on the dollar. The sales person came back and I showed them what i had found and they were clearly upset I had compared shopping. Any wonder in this age of instant comparison, that any more people can be fooled by "flowery talk" is a reflection on the listener, that they have just not kept up with technology , which can cut thru the BS and show them the scam.

Kind of ironic - they focus on the name of the org, not the name of the god they are meant to promote and proclaim.

All us apostates tainted their name, good job guys
