Yes, Vidiot - they often portray formerly disfellowshipped persons as saying, "I now understand and appreciate my family shunning me because it helped me return to Jehovah."
Fine, I'm glad they survived the shunnnig only to succumb to the emotional blackmail.
Others do not survive - they kill themselves. JW organization has little, if anything, to say about these sad and tragic cases.
