Have you ever looked back at your early posts on here?

No doubt we are all overjoyed at how we have progressed since breaking the shackles of the Society!

For those that have been here on this forum for some time, have you ever looked back at the version of "you" that first started posting here, and compared yourself with where you are at now?

I am overjoyed at how much I have grown as a person!

I am truly appreciative of the help so many here in this community forum have provided.

Never underestimate the value of a wonderful place like this!

I've looked back at my early posts on here, too. I can see that I was the same argumentative asshole then that I am now!

And...... we have been allowed to grow as persons, change our minds, explore new ideas. Something we never would have been able to do before.

I was still a bit of an apologist. "Desirous Of Change" -- I really thought JWism could be "fixed". I thought there was just a "little leaven" that had infiltrated the loaf and that it could be expunged.

    Evidently™ I'm a very slow learner!

    STUCKINARUT:

In my very early posts I was a new "fader" but somewhat more religious. Now, I am agnostic. I may have also attended a special talk or memorial back then. Not now. I don't want to set foot in a Kingdom Hall again.

I was less sure that the basic tenets of JW'ism were wrong and I agonised about the consequences of resigning as an elder. Now I am much more settled in my mind and outlook.

I was a bit of a wanker back then. No change there.

Yep; not to mention that you can agree to disagree - which was frowned upon in the Org!

At this point in time, I am neither religious or agnostic / atheist. I'm in 'no man's land'.

Agreed on all counts. It's a useful exercise.

Sometimes I accidentally have read an old posting, smile in agreement, and then look to see who posted it, only to realize it was me. That is not meant as conceited as it sounds.
