If the Star Wars analogy of destroying the Death Star were viable, then one person using the force would "let go."

The problem is that the Empire continued to exist after the Death Star exploded. Unlike Luke, Ray did not last to destroy the Governing Body.

I know very "dedicated" JWs that have closed their wallets to the Borg!
They will go to meetings and conventions and take up space. They will use the literature (whatever there still is) and NOT contribute.
They will go through the motions, but make no converts.
They will suck all they can off of the Borg -- it is their social network -- but they will give it nothing to feed on.

If they've closed their wallets, deep down they're not that dedicated.
