That's Chewbacca. "Chewie" for short. Just got him today. Right now he's chillin' out in my lap and watching me type.

He is a cutie!.....as long as I don't have to touch him.
I watched a program on TV about people who had rats as pets...and apparently they make very good ones. I must admit that I could never have a rat as a pet though.....I still have visions of mice running around my first house, invading my kitchen, running around inside the ceiling, and leaving little presents behind for me to clean up. And, rats are just very large mice to me.
But, Chewie does have the sweetest little whiskers there, doesn't he?

I don't have a rat, but I do have this cute little guy: A Siberian Hamster called Boris. He very strong, ya?

Fun aren't they Tink? I kept two temporarily for some friends a few years ago. I had a lot of fun with "Matt" and "Ty". They took to me immediately. I sure missed them once they were gone!
I love animals but don't have too many options as far as pets. My landlord won't allow dogs. And since I have a cockatiel who can come and go from her cage as she pleases, I can't have a cat. Too bad because I love cats. So I settled on a rat.
