Was there romantic music? An intimate dinner for two? Flowers? Dancing? A party?

Ok, so it wasn't really a date but it was when my hubby proposed to me.

He picked me up at work and brought me to the house that we had just bought. It was closing day and the house was FINALLY ours. He brought his cooler that he normally takes his lunch to work in with champagne and glasses.(he told me about that before) but stopped and said he had forgotten something in the truck. He reaches in and silly me, I am glancing at the garden, trying to figure out what I am going to plant where, so I turn around and he has a box in his hand, open to show the ring and says "so, are you going to marry me or what?". I started to cry and said yes.

You see in all the time we have been together it is the ONLY time he has ever been able to surprise me. I was floored.

    Seriously,

A date with a girl that used to be a stripper that brought along her friend for a threesome.

Took a lady friend to Crabby Bills on the beach for dinner. Had a nice meal and then walked out onto the Gulf to watch the sunset. The weather was mild with a light breeze. Warm sand hugged our bare feet. The surf was serenading us with its soft whispers as a pod of doplins frolicked just off shore. The Sun protested with a vivid display of color as the Gulf consumed it. Then we went over to my cousins beach house and enjoyed each others company on the screened in Florida room by glow of star light and the fireworks from the Don Cesar Hotel! Maverick

In 1965 before my wife and I were married we drove across the border to Mexico. We ended up at a drive inn which had a parking area in the rear with trees around it and soft lighting hanging from the trees. We ordered beer and tacos and as they were getting our order, a mariochi (sp) band came around and offered to serenade us, an offer we accepted. Anyone who has ever had this experience will tell you these bands who walk around, sing and collect tips for their efforts are the greatest. You don't even need to understand the language, which I didn't, as Spanish has a sound that is just wonderful, rather you understand it or not.

All in all a beautiful evening. That was 38 years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Bug

I'd take a girl to go do some drag racing........ Nothing gets a ladies' motor running than the smell of gasoline, rubber and 400 horsepower. Then we'd go on a Motorcycle cruise in the country.... find a nice little restaurant on the side of the road.........

Cruise home, watch a movie..... and then wait for date #2

Which would probably include shooting some guns, seeing some crazy fireworks, and who knows... we might have some time for a bike ride.

My best date was when I proposed to kitties.

We had dinner at a little Italian restaurant near a park and river. After we ate we walked down by the river and came across a table with a white tablecloth, sparkling cider, and cheesecake. (My family set it up while we were eating dinner.)

We sat at the table and kitties noticed that the tree near us had a big carved into it with the words "KITTIES, WILL YOU MARRY ME?" (Of course it was her real name... lol) I carved it the night before with the help of my sister. I proposed and she agreed! To this day she can't believe I fooled her into marrying me.

We still walk at that park and you can still just make out the carving on the tree. That was over seven years ago.
