Hi everyone again! Spoke with the lawyer, you should have seen her face when I said that he was a JW!! She is definitely Jewish and looked SOOOO unimpressed.
She figures since my current hubby has been supporting them for years and that my ex owes major amounts of back support it may just get him to sign the papers. I am worried though that his mother and family will stick their noses in! Thanks for all the good thoughts and I will update you on what happens.
Oh and I gave the lawyer a tape of the 5th estate from last night, the one about the child abuse etc. with Vicki in it. That should help me!

A friend lost all four of his kids to two mothers. He is a JW. He said both mother's attorneys used that against him and the judge sided with them because the kids were going to be deprived of a normal upbringing ......... the attorneys cited that no birthdays, no holidays, etc. I can see why the attorneys did that. And I believe those to be valid reasons for placing a child with the non JW parent. (I still feel sorry for the man who lost all four of his kids but I am glad they will be raised by NON JW'S.)
