My word they really are forgetting what they even believe anymore. I know of no other religion that has to backtrack so much to keep their members.

To the JWs lurking here, maybe you'd be better of just studying the bible on it's own and forming your own conclusion. It's less embarrassing and you dont have to keep updating your beliefs and no one will ask you to die due to a medical procedure they Jehovah "maybe, kinda-sorta, evidently meant" when he said abstain from blood.

I had to laugh at the Questions from Readers in the Dec 2018 article discussing Paul being "taken into the third heaven and caught away to paradise" ( lucky guy ;-) ." The Society gives 3 possibilities and says essentially that Paul may having been "alluding" ( whatever that means ) to one or all of the interpretations. Frankly - they don't have a clue , despite claiming to have Jehovah's spirit and special insight. The whole article is full of "it seems" , "it may have" , "possibly" and numerous other uncertainties.

At least in Fred Franz's day , he was 100% sure of his interpretations , even if it was a load of nonsense.

What about Paul’s mention of “paradise”?
The word “paradise” likewise can mean various things: (1) In view of man’s original home, “paradise” can logically refer to the literal earthly Paradise that is ahead. (2) It can refer to the spiritual condition that God’s people will enjoy in the new world. (3) Additionally, it can refer to the blessed conditions in heaven, “the paradise of God” mentioned at Revelation 2:7.—See The Watchtower, July 15, 2015, p. 8. par. 8.
It is possible that Paul was alluding to all three of those aspects at 2 Corinthians 12:4 when describing his experience.

Yes indeed, that is exactly the WT's golden formula:

1) Summarize a Bible account

2) Add conjecture, suppositions, assumptions, and speculations

3) Impute motives to Jehovah / Jesus / whoever to explain the speculation

4) Impose rigid rules based on items 2 and 3 above.
