I heard that the new veterinary service located in the old Kingdom Hall disfellowship unrepentantly immoral cats and dogs.
At least the building has some good use now. Karter
It looks pretty new. Do we know the reason given for selling the KH? I suppose all the money goes to the branch rather than locally.
As I explained below, there's 140,000 population on the Island of 148 square miles. That works out (using national ratio) to 300 JWs in five congregations (60 publishers in each) - they had four Kingdom Halls, but now they have three Kingdom Halls.
For comparison:
Yearbook 2000, page 121
The Isle of Wight, off the south coast, has seven thriving congregations.
Whether a Kingdom Hall or a Veterinary clinic, all who pass through it's doors, are spayed / neutered, put on a leash and sent to obedience school.
I can hear it now from a small back room: "BAD BOY. NO! DONT TOUCH THAT!"
Oh, that was while it was a kingdom hall sorry!
My sister's old hall....sold to fund the less fortunate is what she told me 😂
I had a couple of door knockers call a few months back..and raised the subject of the sale of their hall. They replied the money is going to be used to build more halls in Africa. I kid you not.
Lost and adrift...I've sent you a personal message
