Welcome Codeblue
Glad to see you here.
Hi Codeblue! Welcome! I was raised in it too and I know how much of a relief it is to know that you've finally discovered the real truth. It's a bit shattering at first but, once you've worked your way through it life is so much more enjoyable! Glad to see you here!

Welcome codeblue , from a squeeky little corner of the NW. Your story is so in keeping with the majority of XJUU's. If the active witnesses were truely honest they would say that this is common throughout the JUU world. I've been out for over 45 years and have never found an organization claiming to reflect the life of Jesus that has missed the mark so completely as the JW's. Sad, but true.
I wish you and your husband well in your journey out of the cave. I assure you there will be trials and tests, but assuredly, you are strong enough to endure.

Welcome, codeblue! I hope you enjoy your visits here. In case you missed it, her is my freshly-created primer for newcomers:
Welcome Codeblue,
That's one thing that was an eye opener the way the elders treated me in just an unloving manner when I was going through a personal crises. I later learned that what I was thought all my life was of unconditional love but of conditional love. Also I have leaned to love myself first, which was contrary to the organization that thought us self hate. It is a long road to achieve self esteem but in the end it is all worth it.

A big hearty welcome to Mr and Mrs Codeblue , so glad that you made it and broke the ice.
In fact your experience was really heartwarming. It was a thrill to see somebody come alive and see the reality. In fact I now know what I was supposed to feel when I used to hear those Field Service experiences in the bad old days
