This Elder refers to (himself)14 times in this article. James 4: 16 reminds us, "But now you take pride in your self-assuming brags. All such taking of pride is wicked." Go here: http://brightquotes.com/gmb_bio.html

Please note how he advertises for the Watchtower Society by mentioning the (Awake). I also noticed the the three words (Jehovah's Witnesses-Awake) are carefully positioned almost directly center of the screen, for maximum view.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend everybody. Voyager

Hate to burst your bubble, but the page is plain HTML... there's no "careful positioning" at all... it all depends on your screen size.

And the page looks an awful lot like a resume... I would guess that even though he's "retired", he's still angling for consulting work. I think it's rather normal to speak of oneself and list one's accomplishments in a resume.

(The page is horribly lame, though. I sure as hell wouldn't hire the guy... even aside from the fact that he's a JW.)

What you said is very true voyager, but do not forget this is the typical attitude of most of them.If this is the way he introduce himself at the door-to door preacing work, well he will not last for very long on this absurd subject of self glorification. The more he tried to impress others the more presumpuous he will appears in the eyes of humble and non humble ones.It seems to me that he does not read the bible enough ,otherwise he would have know how little instead he is in the eyes of GOD.

The most frequent words this clown uses in his resume is "I" and "my." It's very clear he is in love with himself. He may very well have a good reason to do so, but such an approach is worse for most interviwers than the average dub approach at a householder's door.....

If you ask me he is slightly delusional if he thinks letting people know he is a JW and granny was in the Awake! is a selling point

Yes, it is a resume, and no, he's not egotistical in his wording in a document that is about...well, him.

However, at the bottom he specifically mentions that every person, every one of us, is a leader. Really? Can't wait till those in his cong start acting like leaders, and he has to deal with it :)

*Gasp* Don't you people realise that the awake, along w it's companion mag, the watchtower, give the best education in the world? Not. But dubs who wholeheartedly take the wt at it's word would think so.

mmm It's a resume isnt' it? Voyager, I think your are wrong regarding this matter. If we want to help others see that the WT don't have "THE TRUTH", being paranoid, looking for unexistent flaws in every witness individual(elder, pioneer, etc..), this wouldn't help. I really dislike de WT, the organisation, but we must try to be objetive. Any inaccuracy, and an actitude of this kind, will be pointed out by WT apologists, and apostates will continue to be portrayed as liars, paranoids, etc....

In the words of bart simpson that website was 'craptacular', they guy needs to invest in a book on CSS.

I have never thought for one minute that saying your a JW helps in a job interview. I remember that from the stage the elders would often give parts about how certain 'skills' in:

    • Leadership
    • Public Speaking
    • Teaching

That we learned in the org. could help us get jobs and we should not hesitate to bring up these learned 'skills'. I never bought it.
