SF,
Elton John's "Captian Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" was a good album to. As a matter of fact I have a copy of the old LP. Along with his Yellow Brick Road album and some of the old Beatles covers. The art work on some of those old covers was great. It is one thing I miss now with the CD's, its just not the same.

It has been asked before; I'm sure many times. How can one choose their favourite album; it's like asking which is your favourite child. I know I couldn't part with my classical collection; Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak (hopefully someday I'll find Smetena's Maldau) and so much more; probably have all of Pink Floyd (thanks to my son) I have Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Sting, Miles Davis, Herbie Mann, Marc Antoine, Moody Blues, Byrds, Dan Fogelberg, Joni Mitchel, even Patsy Cline. Can go on and on; but I won't.
Just a few of my personal fave's . . .
Rush - Moving Pictures, Signals, Power Windows
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Morrissey - Bona Drag
Sting - Nothing Like the Sun
Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell, mother of all songs.
I have many "favorite" albums so it's impossible to answer that question. Especially since my favs change as my mood changes.
But this week my favorites are "American Recordings IV" by Johnny Cash and "The Wind" by Warren Zevon.
Is the Zevon good? I really wanted to get it even before he passed...
Ani DiFranco, Revelling/Reckoning. (folk:)
Lyle Lovett, The Road to Ensenada. (country:)
Thievery Corporation - The Mirror Conspiracy (dance/techno:)
Elvis Costello, King of America (rock:)
Miles Davis, Birth of the Cool (jazz: get legal Miles MP3's here free!)
Big fan of Aimee Mann, Joe Jackson, and the peeps who rite wurds gud.
Fleetwood Mac GH
or Eagles GH
...there are so many, I could'nt choose.
V sky: Def Leppard Vault is an awesome album!
I have a hard time picking a single album, but my favorite albums are the ones from Better than Ezra and Matchbox Twenty.

The Wind by Warren Zevon is one of his better albums. It's a little more reflective than his earlier albums, like he wanted to say a few things to his loved ones before he was gone. If you listen close you can tell that he is sicker on a couple of the songs than others, like he's out of breath. It's a fun and sad album at the same time. The last song will be bring a tear to your eye, if you have any heart at all.
