Beautiful country, Wales; spent a lot of time there in my youth, on holiday. Once visited a congregation near Belch Mawr (Conwy?) and a brother (elder) was talking about a once-in-a-liftime trip to Malta for an assembly. And there was this brother who had a really high pitched voice....

Welcome, gigamesh! I remember the Edinburgh assemblies, although the towns a lot more fun when I go up now to party with my cousin.

Yes, we went to Edinburgh once ... can't remember it too much as I was quite little.
We normally did Bolton / Manchester / Sheffield / Everton assemblies.
Block graphics ! Yes, it was the TRS-80 clone. I found a site all about it and even downloaded an emulator for it a few months back and got all nostalgic.

You don't have to change the world to write an interesting book about your experiences. It needs to have a theme, though. I've thought of writing a book - not so much anti-JW as just about trying to make it through life, the experiences of exploring ideas, adapting to changes, etc. There might be something in my story - or yours - that would be helpful to someone.
My ex-wife once read a book by someone who had been homeless and found his way back into a more normal situation. Evidently, it sold a few copies.
