The names don't ring a bell.

Was this woman youngish (20s or 30s) with cancer? I remember a woman of that description visiting Tamworth once, and she had some young boys with her. I remember feeling sad for their situation, becos she was advanced with the cancer, and she'd be leaving behind her young children behind.

My mother was in her thirties, and yes, we did visit Tamworth once. Do you remeber anyone from Cessnock? I think I might spend some time and write down my little story. If it stops just one poor soul joining these misguided people it would be worth it.

(((((CC))))) Wow, what a small world. At a young age I lost my mother from cancer too, so I can empathise.

Off hand, I don't remember any names from Cessnock. Some used to move between Singleton and Cessnock. Did you meet a family called the Pococks? They lived in Singleton but the twin girls my have moved. I also remember a sister that was called Sis Bevan, but I'm not sure if Bevan is her first name or surname. I think she lived down that way at some stage.

    G'day Carcroft,

We've met! Colin and Ziggy still going strong - if that's what ya call it!!

The shiraz is improving from the Hunter.

Now, what's the connection with Doncaster of all places?

    Cheers, Ozzie Visit Smiley Central!

ozziepost I must confess that hearing that ziggy is still kicking doesn't make me too happy. Were you a member of the Cessnock cong then?

I knew David Bevan, sometime in the late 70's he had an accident on the Putty Rd. His missus was in Windsor Hospital for a long time, so he stayed with my Uncle Alf Visocchi in Windsor . Wilma was her name, nee Besters from Adamstown. His dad was a farmer in Singleton and David regularly drove to Syd with the produce. I think David and Wilma are divorced now, and he is probably out. Her sister Anita married Davids brother (I think)

Some of my rels were from that area. Uncle Alan moved there from Griffith.

Certainly is Smack, now that you mention the name Visocchi. I know there's a family of them that now live in Tamworth, nice family. Forgot that they were related to you, but now that I think about it I remember being told that your cousin M is related to GV & LV in Tamworth.
