I think we all know the language in the new system is going to be Esperanto. :)

Special K You beat me to it. Our language is so messed up, I can't imangine how others master it as a second language.
My students sometimes feel frustrated when learning English as a Second Language until I show them that even native speakers need help with the pronunciation, and it is included in their dictionaries.
I guess things balance out when you take into account the grammar.
English-speaking people have few endings in their verbs, almost no tenses, no gender or number in the adjectives, etc.
In Spanish, for instance, a cup is femenine, while a glass is masculine!
It's easier to lie in English because it is so ambiguous.
I guess language reflects the pulse of the people: in English, for instance, watches run, in Spanish, they walk, in Frech they march, but in German, they function!
