The US has been under attack by radicals from the middle east. With over 100,00 troops in iraq, we ar sitting right in the middle of the people who are causing the problems. Saudia Arabia, Syria, and Iran are acutely aware of this little fact and if they don't wish the same to happen to them as what happened to Iraq, perhapse they need to behave. You don't think your trying to impose your standards on the people of Afghanistan or Iraq? I know you Will say we are trying to set up a democracy in those countries. After a lot of American blood shed, What happens if the people there is a free election and they vote in a anti American administration?
You speak of the Tali ban and other evil governments killing a lot of people but I could name as many dictators that were supported by past American administrations. Sometime back I posted on here about the Afghan massacre that happened under the noses of the American military and was covered up but it was locked because I guess it was a little too sensitive of a subject for some. No matter what justification you may have for retaliating to what they do, you are no better if you condone it but I guess its OK because the being Godless people and all.I and I believe most Americans do not want anyones sympathy. We just want a way to fix it.

After 9/11 would't have been better to work through the rest of the world community to come up with a resolution? No one wants terrorism and would like to see the end of it all. This could have been achieved through other means instead of going it alone and wanting help after the fact..

Anyway it is costing you the tax payers billions of dollars just occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, that could be spent on things like home land security, medical care, schooling, veterans benefits etc. Also its costing you American lives everyday.Will

How much did 9/11 cost the American tax payer? Anyway it seems like some of the same people screaming over the cost of Iraq where screaming that we were not spending enough in Afghanistan.
- Schooling - its funded enough money is not the problem
- medical care - government funding is not the solution to the problem
- Vets benefits - yes they need more money

- I dont think bringing a democratic form of gov. to these people is a form of abuse.

i had the same conversation today with a muslium from Iran, his dad fled after the fall of the shah
and that was his point, due to religion being such an ingrained thing over there, --hell look at how many folks thought the judge who put up the 10 commandments in the courthouse was doing something great-
so we clearly have excellent examples of how religion/god gets worked into gov and policies
and it would be a thing to see if these folks decided :
"Yea we want to vote" and they vote in a Cleric- and then tell the USA and american companies THANK YOU!!! for rebuilding our bridges road hospitals dams, infrastructure, etc----now get the He!! out
