The Romans who molested young boys were pedophiles not homosexuals. Once again some folks need to be reminded.

Homosexuality is not an abnormality. There have been many studies as to why but so far the studies are on animals other than human. Now with the human genome project we are discovering many of the triggers for survival which are hardwired. Yes, homosexuality is hardwired. That's the facts.

Homosexuality is not a threat to heterosexual males virility.

In the new system all farmers will be gay. You'll see some new harvests of vegetables and terrific place settings at tables. ANd we'll all sing "Life everlasting at last."

Panda, that's a rather all-encompassing statement. To say that "the Romans" were all into homosexuality as well as pedophilia is like saying that all Arabs are terrorists.

In the first century, pagan temples often had "L" shaped rooms attached to them where temple worshippers could go and grant sexual favors to the high priest, or to a temple prostitute. The sex act was not for pleasure, but rather a pagan fertility ritual. By granting sexual favors to the high priest, or paying a fee at the temple to engage a temple-employed prostitute, one was guaranteed fertility of family and/or crops. The "L" shaped room was shaped that way so as to give privacy to the participants in the ritual. The room was called a fornix. Hence, the modern-day term fornication. This is what Paul was condemning in Romans 1: 26-27, which is commonly mistaken as a condemnation of homosexuals.
