This is a superlative list (imho)!!!
Far as I'm concerned, Pacino is the greatest living (male) actor in the English language!
and Maggie Smith, she's amazing - did you see the flick (can't remember the name) she did with Uma Thurman at Lake Cuomo, Italy?

did anyone mention dustin hoffman?
tom hanks is probably my current favorite - for acting, for character, he has it all.
richard burton.
ed harris.
some more obscure names that i just love: philip seymour hoffman, billy crudup, john c reilly. they are all really great actors and i would go out of my way to see them perform in almost anything they do. william macy.
i also love edward burns, not only for acting but for visuals.
actresses -- juliette binoche comes to mind. nicole kidman is also wonderful and good in almost everything. jodie foster goes without saying.
there are so many.

Why, thank you Talesin! I think so too.
I love Maggie Smith - first saw her in 'The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie' when she was fantastic.
I just love AL Pacino - he is so brilliant.
John Hurt is very underestimated - he is also very cute!
And Donald Sutherland.....well.....those eyes just get me every time!
