    ..anniversary.

I made my first post 1 year ago today. I joined up during a busy year at college and consequently my homework hit the fan and I spent time here instead of studying, I was going through a bad time after confronting a few ghosts and I found strength right here on this board. By December I thought I should stop posting and get my head back in the study books (I had 8 to read), so said bye in a nice way. Come Jan 1st 2003, I was cold turkey so crept back in here for the daily dose of bread. Saying "bye" to everyone here after getting to know you all is impossible.

So, a year of fun posters, healing, flames, disagreements, good emails, baaad emails, agreements, heated arguments, encouragement from all, and maaa bitches has got me totally addicted to JWD.

Strangly enough, I've also changed a lot in one year due to this board, strange en I. As this board changed you in any way?

    Everyone here is a gem.

    Brummie.

    Congrats Brummie!

This is an interesting experience, ain't it? You do find yourself changing, albeit in small increments. I've gained a bit more confidence and pride in myself for standing up to the elders all those years ago.

How about you Brumm? What changes do you notice in yourself?

BTW, you should stay off the ski slopes.

Has this board changed you in any way?

Though I am isolated where I live in regards to other xjws, I don't feel as alone as I used to. You know that "interchange of encouragement"

BT, up until I came here, I thought I had to agree with the theology of which ever group I chose to be with. duurrrrr. Not that I believed everthing other groups taught, but I just didnt talk about the things I disagreed with. A lot of other JWish cobwebs that I didnt realise were still in my brian have also been hooverd up.

Thanks XJWb12. Yes I dont feel so Isolated either.

Yeah, that seems to be typical JW thinking. My wife and I have friends who have all sorts of different religious viewpoints. Doesn't bother us at all. It's nice actually being able to have different beliefs and not thinking you have to convert the person.

To a JW a person's spiritual beliefs are inseparably linked to how good of a person they are. And that means if the person doesn't agree with your own viewpoints, then they're not as good as you.

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary! I enjoy having you here.

CONGRATULATIONS, Brummie!!!! It's a better board with you on it. And I like the new tie. Hey, Little Toe, did you shave your beard off or is that a computer generated baby face?
