Good ole Teddy. Believe me, there are plenty of people here in Massachusetts that don't like him.

I don't necessarily agree with what Kennedy said but at least he has the guts to stand up in public and speak in mind.

Bush won't even give press conferences because his handlers know that he makes a fool out of himself when he speaks extemporaneously.

The last 3 years have been pathetic for this country. At least 2004 is an election year.

Say whatever you want about Kennedy. Bash him to your heart's content. In doing so, you're missing the point and burying your head in the sand.

In this current debate about Iraq, your (our) feelings about Teddy are irrelevant. What happened back in the 1960s is irrelevant. What happened at Chappaquiddick (sp) is irrelevant. What Kennedy's talking about is far more important than any one person -- even him. What I'd like to see people do is have the balls to address his words, not him. Yeah, part of his incentive may be politically motivated, but that reality does nothing to alter the seriousness of the situation we're in or what Kennedy actually SAID.

This country is in an economic mess and Bush isn't offering a reasonable plan for getting us out of it -- other than throwing money at all of his corporate buddies. The U.S. armed services has long overextended its reach in Iraq with no end of the killing and spending in sight. The military was not designed and is poorly equipped for nation building and police work. That is not why we have Marines.

The Administration is hell-bent on not holding itself accountable in these and other areas nor standing up and accounting for itself to the American people. Kennedy is by far not the only one who is bringing very reasonable and prescient concerns to the table that deal with serious issues we (Americans and global citizens) face HERE and NOW.

Y'all can ignore these grave concerns if you want and allow yourselves to get side-tracked on grade-school issues because of who's bringing them, but thankfully not all will be so close-minded and petty.

TeeJay, Professional polititians don't have, use, or write their own words. Jusy like any professional business man, a qualified speech writer from Harvard or Yale writes those speeches. So in that casr the President just needs another speech writer. Kennedy displayed no courage when he chooses to denigrate the President after he'd voted for the war in the first place. If he didn't think he'd want to stick it out he should've done the brave thing and voted no.

Bush will lose again in 2004...but should be able to cheat get enough electoral votes.

Between the Impeachment, Florida in 2000, and the California Recall, Repubs will do anything to win an election...except get more votes.
