Today, I heard about how a very beloved relative of ours that recently passed away from cancer, had a reputation for stealing. She would often go in stores and switch tags on clothing or other items (among other things). We were shocked to find this out by a number of other relatives. Most persons viewed her as a "saint". I know that she must've known that this was wrong but evidently, she did it regularly.,,,,,,So, I'm wondering, how do you feel about stealing. Do you believe that certain thefts are not real "crimes"? Would you or have you ever stolen anything???

but what about pirated software? does that count? but even then I wouldnt call that stealing in the same sense...
so nah, although when i was about 13 I did steal a eyeliner but it was a dare.

Stealing isn't my thing. I've never switched tags once or shoplifted. I'm no goodie two shoes but I just don't steal.
Well maybe a heart or two.

Gawwd!!! When we were homeless as kids, K-Mart was our mama and our daddy! We stole so much, we mighta been the reason K-Mart went bankrupt!!! It didn't seem bad at the time, we didn't have money, didn't have hope of getting any, we were hungry and wearing rags, and K-Mart had all this stuff!!!! When our family stabilized a little (after six years!), we stopped stealing. I don't condone stealing, but I look back and say "Thank Gawd for K-Mart"!!!!

yup as a kid stoled a can fish. I had money too. Thrill of it I guess.
There's mental health test MMPI. It asks the question, did you ever steal? True/ False. As far as the test goes. The answer is true for all. Checking a persons honesty.

The only thing I ever stole was some nintendo game. I stole it by not returning it to the rental store but claiming that I did. About a week later my guilt was so heavy that I told my dad and we returned it. My dad made me tell an elder about it after the next bookstudy, but nothing happened. I'm pretty sure I wasn't baptized at that point.

yes sure I have stolen -- when I was under the age of 18 I used to steal cigarrettes -I have also siphoned gasoline out of peoples car when mine ran out and I was short of money -- do not think I have stolen since I was 18 though

I've known people that would buy clothing, wear it to a wedding, and return it because they only wanted the outfit for one day.
