    I have a trove of old Watchtower literature. I know of course, and for example, to keep the three first volumes of The Watchtower (bound) and a bunch of other items. (And I handle them delicately.)

    However, I want to clean out the library of useless junk without disposing of something important.

    ...spring library cleaning if you will. But with a sense of urgency.

    So, what I need is Watchtower quotes that are important. I need to know what old Watchtower literature that is valuable in assisting individuals who have arrived at that place in their life where they can be shown stuff. (I am working with a couple now!)

    I have the 1934 yearbook, keep. Pre-1975 articles, keep. (example)

    My family wants me to ditch a bunch, and I have already ditched doubles. I have pitched quite a few doubles actually.

    Thanks in advance.

    The January 1, 1989 Watchtower magazine, page 12 (printed BEFORE the bound volume edition), it said that the apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. "He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century."

    However, in the bound volume for the 1989 Watchtower magazines and on the Watchtower Library CD-ROM, this was changed to say "He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our day." This was clearly a prophecy but it got changed.

    The first edition of "Aid To Bible Understanding" admitted that the pronunciation/ spelling of the name of GOD was most likely not Jehovah .However they admitted that they went with that name because it was the most popular name in use ?

    I don`t think they included that in later additions.

    Also if I remember correctly the word Elder was not even in that publication ,but it was only a few months later that the Elder arrangement was introduced

    I thought even back then, that was strange .

    Remember to keep the paragraph on the inside cover of the Watchtower about the generation that saw 1914 would see the fullfilment of Gods promises .{ You know what I mean}

    I understand people sell old literature on eBay. That might be an option rather than to throw them out. Or give them to someone who would be interested in selling them that way, if you're not.

    Don't trow the Hapiness, commentary on James and the mankind in search of God books away. They are the best that came from watchtower presses. I still keep them.

    When I joined this religion in the 1980's, everyone had a good personal library. In fact the larger your personal library, the more spiritual you were considering. I ended up with an awesome sized library, that was until WT announced that all old books be returned to them or disposed of. Then I was pressured from my JW relatives to dump all these, because every thing we needed was now available electronicly. Most books have now gone, but I have managed to keep a few of the good old ones.

    The Watchtower Corporation/JWs was always been a commercialized fraud preaching a false gospel, so everything this religious publishing house published is trash, devoid of Christian truths.

    The men who started this organization were self serving, faithful and loyal to themselves not loyal and faithful to Jesus and his Gospel.
