In TN there must be only one party legally consenting to the recording, not both. So it would be legal.

I have never heard of an elder going to the police to report a JC being recorded without his permission.

In English, those would be "criminal" ("pénal") and "civil" (civile").

It is always enlightening to see how other countries view what we would call "human rights."

At my JC they asked about recording it and I said no I wasn’t, they even aloud me to keep my phone because the main elder knew I had a Bible app on it and used it when looking up scriptures. Worked out great , got off with just a public reproof, . Nothing was juicy enough to keep the recording so i erased it. but yea the whole thing is rigged in their favor the only chance you have is if some of the elders were friends or liked you.

I would figure that any group of 3 elders would not let a JC proceed with a recording device.
So I would not even insist/suggest such a thing.

I would instead insist on rigorous note-taking. I mean, one of the 3 is going to take notes, so I would say that I am going to do so also. "If YOU take notes, why can't I take notes?" I would slow the process down extremely in order to get in writing, whatever anyone says. They would probably want to halt the process because of how much I would slow it down.

My peanut gallery comments form a quick cursory look at the above pdf.: New York is one party in case anybody is talking to the GB, ha ha never. Illinois is all parties, interesting with Chicago and it's history of criminal politics. I love Chicago, btw, it's just a fact that it has a politically shady past and probably present. You should visit it if you can, downtown, Miracle Mile and state street, and more, just not South Chicago.

That being said, they hide JCs from new people as long as possible. If they try get the law involved, they get publicity for one of their most secret and culty practices. As the victim of the JC you could try to get even more publicity because of the charge against you.

A thought just occurred to me: what if you're not recording - just broadcasting or streaming the audio live. Since you're not actually recording, is that a legal loophole for laws that forbid recording? And what if someone online listening in to the stream is in a jurisdiction that does permit recording and they record what you streamed and sent it to you ...
