THE 400 and 2,000 YEARS OF SILENCE?

After the completion of the Old Testament, there were, '400 YEARS OF SILENCE',during which God did not speak or inspire any scripture.

That silence was broken by the arrival of John the Baptist, and since that time there has been '2,000 years of silence, during which God has not spoken or inspired any scriptures.

When do you think God will speak again and inspire something to be written? When will this self imposed silence end? These questions are open to believers and non-believers for your opinions.

Blueblades, who gets too talky sometimes, and would like to be able to keep silent for awhile.

Blueblades, Don't you see that God has been using His visible organization since the latter part of the 19th century? Today they are known as Jehovah's Witnesses. Jehovah's Witnesses are fed spiritual food by means of the faithful and discreet slave, our anointed brothers, especially those involved at Bethel, which means House of God. Fearlessly, the anointed ones proclaim the good news of God's established kingdom. That kingdom was established in 1914 in the heavens! Yes, indeed, God has not been silent for nearly one and a half centuries.

"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many time and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe." (Hebrew 1:1-2 NIV).

Jesus Christ is the last revelation of God...God now acts through the Spirit in each Christian...but there is no further revelation until we see God as he trully is. On that day we shall become like Him and remain with Him forever...because we see Him as he trully is. (that from 1 John 3:1)

Also, if ya use a Catholic Bible the revelation of God continued until about 50 BC with the Book of Wisdom.

Blueblades, I don't think God has spoken at all, man.

In the beginning, God created man

In the beginning, man created God

It's obvious that god has facked up from the start - he has realised his error, and that it is best to stay quiet on the subject and move onto another more rewarding project.

cheeses - who thinks silence is golden.

He decided to communicate through the art of Mime....but forgot that no one can look, or else perish by his glory.

I wonder if he can do that 'I'm in a box' thing
