I remember all the Christmas decorations going, Christmas records, a picture of Jesus that my grandmother gave us, my Michael Jackson Thriller album, and a Care Bears album (songs about Good Luck Bear, Birthday Bear, Wish Bear).
Another thing that I regret now is throwing out all the Valentines that I recieved in Grade two. I did it in front of the whole class.

Don't you wish you could back in time, and change things like that. Can you imagine what your classmates told their parents, and your teacher talking in the staff room.
We were so forced to be such masochists, in the belief we were pleasing Jah.

This is very true. Hell, I remember all the lonely Valentine's Days. I've since adopted the view that it's another commercialized holiday. I hate Valentine's day for a number of reasons; When you're single, you are lonely on that day, when you're with someone, you have to buy something cheezy and expensive (due to raised prices) to celebrate the day of love. I'll stop here before I continue to share my thoughts on why Valentine's Day is a lousy holiday...

When we moved into our new house 5 years ago (while "serving" as an elder), along with wood scraps and other construction garbage we burned duplicates of books, lots of old WT's, books, bound volumes (hey I had the CD rom right?).
That was before I knew anything about what the above might have fetched on EBay!

I threw away lots of Xmas decorations, some rosary beads that my Great grandmother made when she lived in Ireland, a cross given to me when I was just a little girl and hung over the inside of my bedroom door until I was 28.......it moved to every home I moved to. Thank God I never took apart my charm bracelet and threw away some of the special charms that my mom had given to me that were considered "unacceptable" ..... now I can pass them on to my daughter when its appropriate.

RAYZORBLADE
My old LPs (records).
I threw out, anything that had any perceived non-JW connection (other religious material).
Cards, decorations....you get the drift.
