Russia Ban = Armageddon?

Something tells me that the Russian J Dub's are secretly rejoicing, having private study groups and convinced that Armageddon is upon us. They will be sadly disappointed. Thoughts?

Jdubs don't do private study groups

I have heard similar bs from JW outside Russia: the ban is a sign that Armageddon is near (isn't it always since Paul and Peter wrote their lines?)

The JW conveniently forget that for the last decades they have always claimed

    1. First the UN+political powers destroy all false religion
    2. After that these powers finally turn to kill the JW
    3. Armageddon

    In this case,

    • it's only the Russian government (not the UN)
    • JW are first to go (besides Scientology that was banned some years ago), not last
    • The UN has condemned the ban (instead of initiating it)
    • JW are appealing to political powers to help them (instead of these powers destroying them)

So, no Armageddon any time soon!

JW should really learn what they actually believe.....

    Nowwhat?,

Um.. im sure they would do private study groups if they can't worship freely. Ya know, like they did in Nazi Germany, in secret.

@nowwhat? Ja, I think @HereIgo was referring to the private/undercover meetings that will continue in place of regular KH meetings in Russia.

For JWs, Armageddon is always near.

It's like a bar hanging up a sign, "Free beer tomorrow". You go back the next day, and the sign still says "Free beer tomorrow".

The "free beer" is always tomorrow, never today.

Armageddon is always "very soon now", never now.

Sir 82 'Free beer tomorrow!' LOL........ I'm going to use that one the next time I come across a JW.

This was not the first time the jokehovians were banned there. They were banned through Europe during World War II. Even Canada tried banning them. Did they experience Armageddon shortly after that? Remember, this was not even the first world war.

And even if they do succeed, all they are going to get is global communism. It will be worse than the Soviet era or North Korea. You will get a RFID chip, and that will track everything you do. One false move, and you can be cut off out of the system. Or, they can track you down and throw you in the gulags (think: Guantanamo Bay). Productivity quotas are ridiculously high, and you work 16 to 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, on miserable rations of lousy food. It is a crime to fall short of these absurd quotas (think: a typist expected to type 200 words a minute an a manual typewriter with zero errors).

The result will be similar to the Dark Ages. This time, the RFID chips make a Renaissance impossible. If they declare the earth is flat (like a record album), it is flat like a record album and you go to the gulags for arguing that it may be otherwise. If they deem sickness to be "from the Devil", then sickness is from the "Devil" and the "cure(??)" (which never works) is more service to either joke-hova or the communist state. (Both are the same program.) You will not be allowed to look up in the sky and see Jupiter, Venus, or Mars. People will be made ignorant about the lunar phases, claiming that "God" is angry and devouring the moon during waning moons. Solar eclipses will be viewed as crackdowns, and even more oppressive quotas and standards will follow.

If that's the type of world you want to live in, then go ahead and keep reading that damnation book. That is what the jokehovian witlesses are working toward--and, if they get enough or too many xian or muslim people keep worshiping jesus or allah, they will succeed. And that is nothing to rejoice about.

WTWizard: Even Canada tried banning them.

Canada didn't just try. They did ban the JWs in WW2. And so did Australia.
