Congratulations, that's really wonderful to hear!!! It sounds like a great read too. Might gather some interest by the talk shows. I'm a writer (newspaper, magazines, etc) but never have had a book published, although I have a cookbook that's almost completed. I know how hard and long the process can be, but what an amazing feeling to know they want to publish your book. I'm excited for you. Keep us posted.

this kitty kat is pleased and delighted Lady Lee, congratulations. I know what it feels like to have a piece of work published. I have a poem printed in an anthology of poetry, the book is called the Gloom Within. My poem is simply a work called, Trees.
I was so happy and elited when I was told of it. This anthology is in out town library. So Lady Lee my fellow publisher 2 thumbs for us. And may this be the beginning of a long career.
All my love

Woo-hoo!!! Congratulations, Lady Lee, on some very splendiferous news!!! You deserve some good news. I am really looking forward to reading it. (Congrats on the chair too -- I think I missed posting on the other thread. Now you can amuse yourself by lecturing the restaurant managers whose "handicap access" is less than perfect. Have fun!)
Love,
Nina

Nina Restaurants are pretty good here
What ticked me off was the large department stores with narrow aisles or items left in the aisles ot sale counters placed in the aisle making it impossible to pass.
For all I have heard about people in wheelchairs being ignored I have been pleasantly surprised at how helpful almost everyone is. People offer to push me up slopes and ramps. They hold doors. They offer to get things on the top shelf. They even remove those stupid bars that prevent you from taking their carts out of the store.
I have only had one nasty lady. I was really ticked off with her. I was in Walmart and a young girl about 9 or 10 was standing with her cart blocking the aisle while her mother was looking for something on the shelf. I'm patient. I waited. The girl saw me and moved the cart. Her mother yelled at her about what did she think she was doing. The girl answered that she was just moving out of the way so the lady could pass. The mother snarled under her breathe "No one ever moves out of the way for me." Poor girl her face just froze. As I went by her I thanked her for being so kind and sweet. If the girl had not been there I might have said something to the mother but I really didn't want to create a scene but I could not let it go and allow that poor girl to think her mother was right.
