I enjoyed it. Its a rare look inside the operation of the jw organization. It has information on decisions that were made that we would never otherwise have.

Good, informational towered exposing the inner corruption and workings of the Watchtower Corporation.

I hate to admit that I haven't read it completely; have only read parts. However, those parts made me realize that the org was/is run by a bunch of really flawed men with no god in the picture at all.
I have the book and plan on reading it cover-to-cover soon and recommend that you do the same.

A powerful eye-opener that helped me on the way out. Impressive to see how everything is backed up with quotations and official WT letters.

first half is very much in the style of a watchtower magazine--so boring i nearly chucked it away. go to half way through---then i couldnt put it down.

One other thing Ray established in his books is just how the WTS. leaders are so nervously paranoid about themselves and the established doctrines they created, as well the power they built around themselves.
As its known Ray was DFed for simply talking to a ex-JWS because they knew he had inside knowledge of the going ons at the top executive part of the organization.
As a reaction to that inappropriate shunning or DFing, Ray responded by exposing the inner workings of this pretentiously corrupt publishing house.

Hi everyone. What does anyone think of the crisis of conscience book?
Love the book, Very insightful. I actually met him in person once when he was in Puerto Rico. he always stroke me as a very personable person.
He sounds very accurate in what he describes about the inner circles where most JWs don't get access to.
What I like the most about the book is the tone he uses. He doesn't sound spiteful, he's matter-of-fact, and I din't get that "expose" quality that you get from other books that are of similar purposes.

I'm up to page 100 at the moment and there are some shocking things in it. I'm also reading articles on jwfacts and the one about the flood is particularly eye opening

The more I'm learning from jwfacts and crisis of conscience the more I can understand why jws are taught to stay away from such things because there's merit to what so called 'apostates' are saying and the society doesn't want to lose its followers
