They've really painted themselves into a corner on this one: on the one hand, they use the adjective ``1900-year-old" to describe the Faithful ad Discreet Slave, yet fail to demonstrate any direct historic linkage to the primitive Christians and themselves; on the other hand they often speak of Jesus as having conferred the appointment to FDS just after his arrival, after having conducted an intense inspection of Christendom and all his professed followers beginning sometime after his arrival in 1914 and culminating in 1919. This appointment of the Bible Students as the FDS was supposedly predicated on ``the quality of spirtual food" (?!) they were dispensing at the time.

jwbot,
On which basis can the WTBS Inc., condem other religions for the same things she has failed to practice ?"
Aww...why do you consider it female?Because "she" christendom, ....is a whore.....remember? You can't have a "guy" whore, riding on the back of the beast, unless the whore is gay. Get it?
Kenneson,
If they point to the Arians and Waldensians, would the Arians and Waldensians acknowledge the WTBS?
Good point?
The society never says that these groups you mentioned, also believed many doctrinal issues the society condems as heresy. They never acknowledge these groups were really no different than others they condemn. This is their loophole for establishing the idea that there has ALWAYS been a slave class on earth at any given time since Pentecost.

Hello everyone,
these few lines to thank Room 215 and Gumby for the excellent
remarks about the " contraddictory claims" of the WTBS Inc. and
the fact that middle ages Christians ...are not really considered
"...true Christians .." by the mighty WTBS Inc. corporation.
They often hint about 'genuine...true Christians ' and they really
want to exclude everybody but themselves.

These words certainly haven't seemed to come back and bite them yet. Or maybe they have, and the R&F just don't know it?

Hello Flowerpetal,
thanks for your nice contribution. Your retorical question
has the basic and truthful answer:
Most of the R&F are ignorant of many, many topics which
are posted in this Board. Maybe they are blind, maybe
they're tired, maybe they...don't know what to believe
anymore...some are just very sad victims of the WTBS Inc.
Greetings, J.C.MacHislopp

Also,on which basis can the WTBS Inc. accuse other religions for the continuing teaching of 'erroneous doctrines ', when she herself is guilty of the same sin, since the times of Charles Taze Russell?
WTBS Inc accused other religions because they continued teaching erroneous doctrines. (e.g. the catholic church continues to use images when it is clear in the bible God abhors idolatry)
But the WTBS stopped teaching those erroneous doctrines and rectified matters.
Sure, Nothing and Noone is perfect (except Adam & Jesus), Moses made a mistake when he struck the rock to bring forth water, King David made a mistake when he took Uriah's wife. Jonah made a mistake when he did not follow God's instruction to go to Nineveh, the Apostle Peter made a mistake when he disowned Jesus.
But the point is they RECTIFIED those mistakes, and ask for God's forgiveness. And they never CONTINUED/STAYED on those mistakes.

Just ask yourself: just how many flashes of ``new light" are nothing more than ad hoc adjustments to paper over failed expectations? When the course of historic events invalidated their meticulouslyargued North vs.King of the South scenario, what choice did they have but to change it or face ridicule? And, for example, ``oops, I'm sorry, an adequate response to God-only-knows hundreds of loyal dubs whose lives were placed in jeopardy by the now-discredited 1967-1980 ban on organ transplants?
And does it honor God to sing bum checks in His name?
