  Thanks everyone. No BD party. Not a tradition in my non-JW family either. Just cards and going to my favorite (my husband's too) restaurant. My husband's family was hurt when we did not celebrate BDs but they have forgiven us. For them it is just a way to let you know you are special. Of course, moms remember those BDs more because they were there (and the preceding nine months)
