    11. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the sea, and let fowl multiply on earth where Prince Charles and Prince Philip would shoot them.

    LOL!

Did you know that his gravestone reads/will read (is he dead yet) 'I told you I was ill.'

Oh dear. I guess you missed this post: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/27/59804/1.ashx

Perhaps I should copy & paste it here:

For those old enough to remember him, today was a special day. Here's tonite's news item on a special event, the Spikefest.

    Woy Woy celebrates Spike

The Australian town tagged as "God's waiting room" by late British comedian Spike Milligan has not taken it to heart. Woy Woy has instead embraced "The Goon Show" star's wit and staged a festival in his honour.

Milligan, who died last year of liver failure at the age of 83, regularly joked about the NSW central coastal town in his comic routines.

The tiny town was the "world's only above ground cemetery", he used to say. Woy Woy on Saturday kicked off the week-long celebrations with a backward parade in tribute to Milligan's poem Walking Backwards Across the Irish Sea for Christmas. Local publican Belinda Hillman said about 100 people took part in the main street parade, all dressed backwards for the occasion.

"They had to dress backwards. They weren't allowed to walk backward but they could dress backwards," she said.

Woy Woy was a popular holiday area back in the 1950s for families spending time at the beach but as more people retired, the demographics have changed. The Spike Fest activities also include a comedy writers' workshop and a local arts exhibition called "Picasso According to Spike." Woy Woy's community radio station has also decided to broadcast non-stop six hours of "The Goon Show", which Milligan launched with his three comedian colleagues Peter Sellers, Harry Seccombe and Michael Bentine on BBC radio in 1951. During the 1950s, Milligan's parents and his brother Desmond moved to Woy Woy, about 80km north of Sydney, giving him plenty of ammunition for his jokes. Even the town's name was a source of constant amusement to Milligan. "Woy Woy. It's Aboriginal. Means `deep water'. But which Woy means deep and which Woy means water," he used to say. But Ms Hillman said the townspeople embraced the late comic legend and were comfortable with the humour. "I think they are," she said. "A few of the locals don't like it but everyone else seems to be all right with it." Ms Hillman said the inaugural festival was such a hit it was likely to become a yearly tradition. "They all seem to be pretty happy about it and they have all had a good time, so I think they will do it again," she said. All the proceeds of the event will go towards the local area's mental health unit in tribute to Milligan who suffered chronic depression. ©AAP 2003

Who could forget those lines? "I'm walking backwards to Christmas, across the Irish Sea"

    Cheers, Ozzie
