I never saw a DA letter. No one was DA'd when I was an Elder....I argued against it on the few cases the PO (Bully boy), allowed me to be on.
I never saw any 'apostete(TM)' letters.
The JC's I sat on were usually for bonking.

Never saw a DA letter but did have one ask to meet with a couple of elders and I was one of them. It was a short meeting where he told us he no longer wanted to be a JW because he had some things he needed to do that was not christian. Never knew what that was all about. All we did was let the body of elders know about it. Never saw him a again. Still Totally ADD

There were some that DA'ed while I was an elder, but I don't recall any mention of, nor a reading of a letter of DA.
I just accepted that the Presiding Overseer (COBE) and/or the secretary had what they needed.
